Welcome to my online blog for our Vineyard Life Journal!
This forum IS NOT for debate or to correct each other, but to share our insights and observations. (Actually, I will be keeping a pretty tight rein on the comments section, and I will have the ability to block trolls, spammers or those who just want to stir the pot.)
Before you comment or read what I have posted, read today’s passages for yourself and complete your own S.O.A.P. exercise… (If you read mine first, it may taint what you think.)

Here is my SOAP for today, Thursday, September 27, 2018
Haggai 1:10 “Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops.” [Because they were more concerned about rebuilding their own houses rather than rebuilding the Lord’s temple.]
Haggai 2:9 “‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”
Psalms 129:1b “let Israel say; 2 “they have greatly oppressed me from my youth, but they have not gained the victory over me.”
Luke 10:13 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. 14 But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. 15 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades.”
16 “Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”
We really have no idea how our actions effect things around us…
Putting “first things first” means we rebuild the temple before we rebuild our own homes. It’s not wrong to rebuild our homes… but that shouldn’t be THE focus. Put the same effort into rebuilding His temple… By not doing that we only hurt ourselves, unknowingly…
Lord help me to always put first things first. To put You first…
