Welcome to my online blog for our Vineyard Life Journal!
This forum IS NOT for debate or to correct each other, but to share our insights and observations. (Actually, I will be keeping a pretty tight rein on the comments section, and I will have the ability to block trolls, spammers or those who just want to stir the pot.)
Before you comment or read what I have posted, read today’s passages for yourself and complete your own S.O.A.P. exercise… (If you read mine first, it may taint what you think.)

Here is my SOAP for today, Friday, July 6, 2018
Hosea 6:6 “For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.”
Hosea 7:13b “I long to redeem them but they speak about me falsely.”
Hosea 8:14 “Israel has forgotten their Maker and built palaces; Judah has fortified many towns. But I will send fire on their cities that will consume their fortresses.”
Hosea 9:17 “My God will reject them because they have not obeyed him; they will be wanderers among the nations.”
Hebrews 3:5 ““Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,” [Numbers 12:7] bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future. 6 But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.”
12 “See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”
FYI, I kept wondering why is “Ephraim” mentioned over and over… Ephraim is the largest tribe of Israel, so when Ephraim is mentioned it is synonymous with “Israel.”
I love how Hebrews makes a case for Jesus. Plain and simple, yet profound in its simplicity. Jesus is our Great High Priest, always making intercession for us. He is our brother! (And priest!)
This verse is my application today… Hebrews 3:12 “See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”
Lord help me to not have a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from you, so that I would not be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness!
