Welcome to my online blog for our Vineyard Life Journal!
This forum IS NOT for debate or to correct each other, but to share our insights and observations. (Actually, I will be keeping a pretty tight rein on the comments section, and I will have the ability to block trolls, spammers or those who just want to stir the pot.)
Before you comment or read what I have posted, read today’s passages for yourself and complete your own S.O.A.P. exercise… (If you read mine first, it may taint what you think.)

Here is my SOAP for today, Monday, April 23, 2018
1 Samuel 27:9 “Whenever David attacked an area, he did not leave a man or woman alive, but took sheep and cattle, donkeys and camels, and clothes.” (While David was living among the Philistines for 16 months…)
Psalm 141:8 “My eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign Lord…”
1 Chronicles 9:1 “All Israel was listed in the genealogies recorded in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah. They were taken captive to Babylon because of their unfaithfulness.”
Matthew 10 Jesus sends out the twelve disciples, giving them all authority. They were to take NOTHING with them.
Take note of the “whoevers” in this chapter… Whoever denies me… whoever welcomes you… etc.
That is a stunning first verse in 1 Chronicles 9…
“They were taken captive to Babylon because of their unfaithfulness.”
Two things today:
- Be faithful… or be taken captive.
- Trust the Lord for authority and provision, anointing, a place to stay… all of it.
Lord I want to be faithful as I go… trusting you every step along the way!
