Well, we are marching through the Bible. Another good week. The Bible teaches us that one day is not any more special than another. It’s all how we look at it.
One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it… (Romans 14:5-6 NKJV)
To the point. The point is, I had a couple outstanding days this week in my Life Journal
1) making it through Leviticus
2) coming across a verse that has years of fond memories packed into it.
Most people would not think either day is that outstanding but to me, I give thanks and praise to Him.
The verse with the memories attached as you wait with baited breath is (drum roll sounding) Numbers 6:24-26
“‘“The Lord bless you
and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”’ (Numbers 6:24-26 NIV)
For years I used to watch one of my favorite preachers on TV every week without fail. I was even saving up money to go to his preaching school which got me into some hot water with Marcie. He always ended his telecast with this verse as his benediction. When I read that verse this week all those memories came flooding back to me. May the Lord bless you too! May he be gracious to you. May he keep you safe.
Just think of all the fond memories packed into many verses just waiting to be rediscovered. I look forward to seeing you this weekend!
