This weekend’s installment of our study of the life of David is about recovering from our mistakes. David made more than his share of mistakes, but when he was confronted by his own sin, he was quick to own it and make things right. He made a decision that ultimately brought a plague upon his own people, costing the lives of 70,000 of his own men. (Have you ever made a decision that negatively affected the people around you? We all have…) In order to turn his situation around, David decided to offer a burnt sacrifice to the Lord. A man offered to give him the oxen and the wood for the sacrifice, but David refused. He said, “I will not offer a sacrifice that cost me nothing.” Powerful words… and a very good decision on David’s part. We all make mistakes and bad decisions… they may not impact the lives of thousands of people, but in our own spheres of influence, what we do and say can affect our spouse, children, friends or co-workers. Learning how to deal with the consequences of our decisions – and our sin – is a huge deal. This weekend’s message will focus on just that.
Last Sunday night was our Open Heavens night of worship. The worship team did a great job of leading us, and Aurora and her prophetic team gave encouraging words to just about every person there. It was a great night. I’m already looking forward to next month, 2nd Sunday at 6P. I hope you will join us next month!
Speaking of Aurora and her team, she will be facilitating an Art Sozo session next Thursday, September 21. Art Sozo is a unique inner healing encounter using paint as a tool to express the emotions and revelations encountered during the session. No art experience is necessary. To register, CLICK HERE.
