Can you believe it’s September already? Labor Day weekend is the unofficial end of summer… but my sunflowers are in full bloom and they are gorgeous! All the hard work of preparing the soil and planting… and waiting and waiting… is well worth the wait!
I know many of you are waiting on the Lord for something. A healing, a breakthrough or fulfillment of a word given to you… even financial provision. I know this… the Lord is good and His love endures forever. His promise is, when you are waiting on Him, He will renew your strength. Keep your eyes on Him, and wait with expectancy!
This weekend, I will be continuing our David series looking at the 23rd Psalm and the names of God contained within it. He is our shepherd, our healer, provider and our peace. (And so much more.) I’m excited to see you and to share this message of hope with you. We will also be sharing Communion this weekend during worship. (We typically offer Communion on the first full weekend of the month.)
Hey guys, if you missed last night’s big game, Scott took a few minutes to share with the group about the launch of our Vineyard Men’s Triads…
What is a “Triad” you ask? A Triad is a group of three (or four) guys, that have committed to getting together a couple of times per month for coffee, breakfast or whatever, to connect and encourage each other. Someone may simply share a verse they have read recently, or the group can do a more formal study. Your group can decide. If you have questions or need more information, contact Scott at email@example.com. To register your Triad, CLICK HERE or go check out dvc.life/Triads.
Next Thursday, September 7th at 7P Scott and Drew will be hosting open auditions for the worship team. If you sing or play an instrument CLICK HERE to schedule an audition. If you are interested in joining the tech team (sound, computer/lyrics, lighting, etc.) please let them know! Email Drew at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tomorrow morning is Food for Fairborn. This is a great way to get connected and see what we are all about. Distributing groceries and praying for people. Meet us at 10A at our pantry.
There is always a lot happening around the church… The best way to stay informed is to go to dvc.life/events. All of our events are listed there.
P.S. Open Heavens is starting up again NEXT Sunday night, September 10th at 6P! (NEW TIME) Open Heavens is a great opportunity for us to enjoy an extended time of worship and ministry. The atmosphere is faith-filled with anticipation and expectation. I hope you can join us! There is no childcare available, however you are more than welcome to bring your kids to worship with you.
