Last weekend I kicked off a new series entitled, Covered. I did an overview of God’s grace and I talked about His saving grace. Ephesians 2:8-9 states, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”
This weekend I will be sharing about God’s sustaining grace. His grace carries us through the darkest of times. One thing I have learned is that God is faithful. I love this passage in 2 Corinthians 4 verse 18. “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” When I am uncertain about what to do, when I need strength in any situation I am facing, when I am at the end of my rope, I remind myself to look to Jesus and not take my eyes off of Him!
I have a list of 51 Benefits of Grace! (If you would like to download a copy of the list: CLICK HERE.) Here are just a few:
Never be forgotten, left or abandoned by God
Deuteronomy 31:6; Psalm 37:23; John 14:18
John 3:16; 1 John 2:25; 5:11-13
Sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise
There are so many reasons and benefits to trust in His grace!
Here are a few other things happening around the Vineyard that might interest you. (I can’t cover everything in my weekly note, but I try to hit the highlights for you each week.)
This weekend our prophetic art team will be available in the upper lobby after each service to give words of encouragement via a quick piece of artwork. Stop by and let them pray for you!
We will be having a child dedication ceremony on Mother’s Day, May 14th at the 11:15A service. If you have children you would like to dedicate, we have an orientation for you to attend Wednesday, May 10th at 7P. Register HERE.
Our women’s ministry is hosting a Women’s Night of Worship next Friday evening, May 5th at 6:30P. Monica sent out an email earlier this week with all the details. Just a heads-up… Open Heavens is usually scheduled for the 2nd Sunday of each month, but in May, the 2nd Sunday is Mother’s Day… so we are rescheduling it for the 3rd Sunday instead. (May 21st at 7P) Mark your calendar!
I hope to see you this weekend!
P.S. I also wanted to share with you just a quick testimony of some of the healings we have been hearing about. Aurora shared this list with our staff this week: Stomach pain healed, leg grew out and knee pain left, shoulder pain relieved, 2 emotional healings, and kidneys almost to point of dialysis were healed!
