Thanks for taking a minute to read my note and catch up on all the latest happenings around our church.
I hope you are enjoying our current message series, BLESSED, based on the Sermon on the Mount as much as I am. Each week Caleb and I have been teaching on one of the Beatitudes. To date we have covered: “Blessed are the poor in spirit; those who mourn; the meek; those who hunger and thirst for righteousness; and the merciful.” All of the messages from this series are now available on our website in both audio and video formats. This weekend I will be speaking on “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” See Matthew 5. “A pure heart” refers to someone who has a clear conscience – a person who doesn’t have to pretend, play games or live a lie. I hope you can join me this weekend!
I have a little good news to share with you. We made it through our Facebook Live stream this past weekend with NO interruptions. I know how frustrating it can be when the stream goes down. Trust me when I say that our team is diligently working to ensure that the live stream is uninterrupted. Thanks for your patience as we continue working out all the bugs.
If you have registered to serve at one of our Easter Egg Hunts, I wanted to let you know that we are having a volunteer meeting on Thursday, April 13 (the week of the egg hunts). You will have the opportunity to connect with your particular team and pick up your FREE limited edition Vineyard T-shirt! It’s not too late if you haven’t registered yet, but we really need for you to SIGN UP to serve as soon as possible. To pull off nearly a dozen egg hunts, we need several hundred volunteers.
If you would like to get baptized, we will be doing baptisms during Open Heavens on Sunday evening April 9th. We have a brief orientation that we ask everyone to attend prior to getting baptized. If your children have decided to be baptized, they can attend orientation with Joy on either April 2nd from 9-10:30A or Wednesday, April 5th from 7-8:30P in the FLC. The adult orientation is Sunday, April 9th at 6P in the Lodge. REGISTER HERE or for more information contact Joy Harvey at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It’s the first weekend of the month, so we will be offering Communion during worship. I hope to see you there!
P.S. Food for Fairborn is 10 AM tomorrow morning at our pantry!
