Good afternoon friends,
We had another solid week last week… Groups are rolling with more than 100 women studying the Armor of God (out of Ephesians 6,) and a dozen couples in our Marriage for a Lifetime group. We also had our 2nd installment of VISION:2017 where I had the opportunity to share with everyone regarding attendance and how we are doing financially, among other things. I am very excited about where we are at right now. I sense growing momentum and greater participation in worship. I thought the DAVID series was well received, and I’m proud to report we are healthy, stable and growing again. Our next VISION:2017 will be on Sunday, March 26th after the 11:15A service. Everyone is welcome to attend, but I will be gearing the message toward those who are newer to our church.
I’d like to thank those of you who have been using the upper parking lot and main lobby entrance. With so many people having kids and using the lower entrance, I asked people (who don’t have kids) to consider using the upper parking lot and entrance. Our hospitality team has noticed more and more people entering upstairs. Our lower lobby just wasn’t designed for that many people. I can’t thank you enough for helping us out in this regard.
Last weekend Caleb kicked off our new message series, BLESSED. He spoke about “blessed are the poor in spirit.” This weekend I will be speaking on “blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted,” Matthew 5:4. In the Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes, it states there there is a season for everything… There is a time to mourn, and a time to dance. There is a time to be born, and a time to die. I’ll be sharing about 3 times in all of our lives that we will experience a time to mourn. I hope you can make it.
Food for Fairborn is tomorrow (1st Saturday of every month) at 10A at our panty. We load the truck then carpool to Fairborn Primary School to distribute groceries to over 100 families. We also have the opportunity to pray for most of the families. If you have never attended one of our food outreaches, this would be a great opportunity. Our team does a such a great job at these events.!
I look forward to seeing you this weekend!
P.S. Marcie asked me to mention that the open arts studio is changing from Thursdays to Tuesdays, starting March 7. Contact Marcie at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions.
