I hope you are able to join us TONIGHT for VISION:2017 at 7P at our Beavercreek Campus in the Student Center! (Enter via the red entrance) If you attended last month’s Vision:2017, you know what an amazing time we had. I shared about where we have been and where we are headed. I talked about alignment and how our church family can help us move forward together. Tonight’s meeting will be geared toward our “shareholders.” (Those who have been around the Vineyard for a while… who serve and give.) We will enjoy a meal, fellowship and worship together. Childcare is provided up to age 10. Please register by clicking HERE.
This weekend we are kicking off a brand-new message series entitled BLESSED! Over the next several weeks we will be studying the Sermon on the Mount out of Matthew chapter 5. (This passage is also known as the “Beatitudes.”) This weekend we will focus on the verse, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” It’s going to be a great series! Don’t forget, if you miss a week, our message audio and video files are posted on our website at www.daytonvineyard.com/messages.
I am also very excited that our groups launched this week. We have about 100 women studying The Armor of God on Wednesday’s, and we have a dozen or so couples attending our Marriage for a Lifetime group. (For married couples AND those planning to marry.) We also have a handful of folks taking our Community of Hope training on Tuesday afternoons. (This is a fairly lengthy process to become certified to perform pastoral care duties on behalf of Vineyard Church.) And Bob and Joy Harvey’s home group kicked off last Friday night with 5 couples!
I really believe that the Christian life is meant to be lived out in community, rubbing shoulders with other people. If you would still like to join one of our groups, Click HERE.
In other news, we also completed Starting Line last weekend. If you missed it, I just wanted to let you know we will be offering this class on a regular basis on the 2nd and 3rd Sunday’s of the month during the 11:15A service in the Lodge. No need to sign up, just show up! (You will need to attend both weeks, as it is a 2-week series.) If you need more information, contact Angie Bailey at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Aurora Newton is facilitating a prayer team training Tuesday, February 28th at 6:30P for those interested in joining the ministry team that prays for people at the end of each service. You will learn our 5-step prayer model along with tools and protocol to steward encouragement and healing. Register by February 26th HERE.
I hope you have a great weekend!
P.S. Our children’s ministry (vKids elementary) has been doing a toiletries (personal hygiene items, toilet paper, soaps, shampoos, etc.) drive this month to support our pantry. If you would like to participate, bring in a few items THIS weekend. Drop them off in the Family Life Center or at an information desk. Thanks!
