I always appreciate the opportunity to share with you what’s happening around the church. Thanks for taking the time to read my note each week. It really is a great way to keep in touch and know what’s going on. Over the past year or two we have really worked on improving our communication. Between my email note, the weekly announcements video and our improved website, hopefully you are up to speed!
Caleb will be speaking this weekend, continuing our series on David, by speaking about David’s “mighty men” and how to inspire greatness in the people around us. David’s men loved him so much that they were willing to put their lives on the line, just to get David a drink of water (See 2 Samuel 23). It’s going to be a great weekend!
Our groups launch is next week! February 21st and 22nd. We have a Women’s study on The Armor of God (morning and evening), Marriage for a Lifetime (for married couples AND those planning to marry) and a Widow 2 Widow support group. We are offering Community of Hope training on Tuesday afternoons… There are also a couple of men’s groups currently meeting. Click HERE to find your group.
We also have several home groups available. Bob and Joy Harvey are starting a new group in their home, just for families! They will meet twice per month on Friday’s at 7P at their home in Kettering. (Their first meeting is TONIGHT!) You can reach Joy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our next VISION:2017 gathering is NEXT Friday, February 24, 2017 at 7P at the Vineyard Beavercreek Campus Student Center. (Enter via the red entrance in the Family Center.)
If you joined us last month for our first Vision:2017, you know what an amazing time we had! I shared about where we have been and where we are headed. I talked about alignment and how our church family can help us move forward together. Our next meeting will be geared toward our shareholders. (Those who have been around the Vineyard for a while… who serve and give.) We will enjoy a meal, fellowship and worship together! Childcare is provided up to age 10. Please register by clicking HERE. (For planning purposes only.)
Aurora Newton is facilitating a prayer team training Tuesday, February 28th at 6:30P for those interested in joining the Encounter Ministry Team which prays for people at the end of each service. You will learn the 5 step prayer model along with tools and protocol to steward encouragement and healing in the name of Jesus. Register by February 26th HERE.
By the way, our children’s ministry (vKids elementary) has been doing a toiletries drive this month… to support our pantry. Personal hygiene items, toilet paper, soaps, shampoos, etc. If you would like to participate, bring in a few items this weekend or next. Drop them off in the Family Center or at an information desk.
God bless you. I hope to see you soon!
P.S. THIS SATURDAY all of our Elementary Kids, K-5th grade, are invited for games, food and a Nerf battle. 3-5P, Saturday, February 18th. Kids are encouraged to bring their BFFs to the Winter Bash and again to service. Register your kids HERE.
