Let me start by saying “Thank you!” for your support in 2016. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to pull off so many successful outreaches, such as our SEVEN Easter Egg Hunts, our Back to School Festival (school supplies and shoes for hundreds of kids) and most recently, our Christmas Store. That’s just to name a few… and that’s in addition to our Food Pantry and food-for outreaches to nearly a thousand families EVERY MONTH!
Needless to say, I am very excited about this coming year. Your generosity helped us finish 2016 financially stronger than in recent years. I can’t thank you enough for your prayers, concern and giving.
Hopefully you were able to join us last weekend for our all-worship weekend. I loved celebrating God’s goodness and ringing in the new year by worshiping together. If you enjoyed the extended time of worship, join us for Open Heavens this Sunday night at 7P!
This weekend I will be kicking off a brand-new series entitled, “David.” Over the course of this series, I will touch on several of the major events that forged David’s character over the course of his lifetime. He made more than his share of mistakes… and had many personal struggles, but he also experienced many personal victories and penned nearly half of the Psalms along the way. We can learn a lot by looking at his life. This week’s message is from 1 Samuel 16, when Samuel anointed David.
We have a Time To Revive DAYTON outreach scheduled for the 2nd Saturday of each month in partnership with other churches that participated in Revive Dayton. January’s outreach will begin at 8A at Emmanuel Lutheran (in Kettering) on the 14th. I’d like to invite you to continue to reach our city with the Gospel.
I’d like to personally invite you to join me for a special night of connection, ministry, visioning and encouragement, Friday, January 27 at 7 P. We will enjoy a meal, fellowship and worship together. Please register to attend this event. To RSVP CLICK HERE.
I look forward to seeing you this weekend.
P.S. Our student ministry is having a Winter Retreat, January 20th and 21st. This is going to be an amazing event where students and connect, have fun and grow closer to God. Please CLICK HERE to register.
