I’d like to personally invite you to join us this Saturday for Christmas Eve, as we worship together and celebrate the birth of Christ. And you won’t want to miss hearing our very own Tiffany Stoner sing, “O Holy Night” as we light our candles. It’s going to be a very powerful moment. We had a great time at our Travelers Service Wednesday night. The room was warm and filled with hope, the Spirit and worship.
We are also doing one service on Christmas Day for those who would like to go to church this Sunday (even though it’s Christmas Day, or maybe even because it is Christmas Day). Christmas Eve, 5 & 7P. Christmas Day, 10A. (We will be live streaming the service on Christmas Day on our Facebook page.)
I’m bringing BILL’S DONUTS on Sunday!
Next weekend, our Saturday service is at 5:30P (New Year’s Eve) and Sunday, we will be doing one service at 10A (New Year’s Day). That weekend is going to be an all-worship weekend!
Riverdale Campus Schedule: Christmas Eve service is at 7P. Christmas Day (Sunday) is at 10:30A (not 10A as usual) and New Year’s Day (Sunday) at 10A.
Last weekend we completed our message series “Come Let Us Adore Him.” It really is my greatest desire, to adore Him… to worship Him in Spirit and truth as Jesus said in John chapter 4. That’s why we spend about 30 minutes or so of every service and one Sunday night per month in worship. (We call it Open Heavens… the 2nd Sunday night of each month.)
I would also like to thank all of you that made our Christmas Store a huge success! It’s because of your generosity that we’re accomplishing our mission of leaving Dayton better than we found it.
By partnering with local schools and counselors we gave away over 1,200 toys for boys and girls up to age 12. These gifts blessed 550 kids from over 200 families! Additionally, more than 120 of you took time out of your busy schedules to care for those families that visited our Christmas Store. We were able to help a lot of at-risk kids and families in need.
I also wanted to let you know that our offices will be closed the week between Christmas and New Year’s… the same with our pantry, which is also closed Monday, January 2, reopening Tuesday, January 3. There is no bagging until Wednesday, January 4. Food for Fairborn is still on for Saturday, January 7.
I hope to see you this weekend, but if I don’t, I hope you have the best Christmas ever!
P.S. As we gear up for the new year, if you would like to discover freedom from life’s hurts, hang-ups and habits, check out Celebrate Recovery starting up at our Riverdale campus in Dayton on Wednesday Nights beginning January 4, 2017.
