We started a new message series last weekend, “Come Let Us Adore Him.” This series is based upon the Advent calendar. Topics will include hope, love, joy and peace. Advent is a season of preparation… preparing for the birth of Christ (Christmas) and preparing for His return. “Advent” literally means “appearing” or “coming.” I want us all to be prepared!
Caleb will be continuing our new series by speaking on “expressions of love.” The wise men traveled a great distance to find the Christ child, and when they did, they expressed their love by presenting him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh (see Matthew 2:10-11). For some people, that’s how they express love (or feel loved) through gifts. For others though, it’s through time spent, acts of service, meaningful touch or words. (I enjoy giving and receiving gifts, but my love language is acts of service.)

Our Christmas Store will be up and running in just two short weeks! Many of you have already gone to our website and are signing up to serve. You can help with hospitality and hosting, gift wrapping, prayer, shopping or our Kid Zone. There are lots of different ways you can serve!
I am so thankful for your willingness and generosity. Packages are already starting to arrive from Amazon.com, as people have started purchasing gifts from our Amazon Christmas Store List. (There are many gifts available starting at just $10.00. There are also gifts that cost a little more, for those who have the means and choose to spend a little more.) You can also simply donate new toys and other gifts simply by bringing them to church with you this weekend or next.
Visit this page on our website for all the details on our Christmas Store. You can sign up to serve and donate financially to support our efforts to show God’s love by providing gifts to families in need this Christmas.
I can’t imagine Christmas without our Christmas Store. And I can’t imagine doing all of this without you. Together we can make a difference in the lives of hundreds of people this Christmas.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

If you were part of Revive DAYTON, I’d like to invite you to continue on that path of outreach and sharing the Gospel with us. We have scheduled a Time To Revive DAYTON outreach for the 2nd Saturday of each month in partnership with the other churches that participated in TTR Dayton. Saturday, December 10 at our Riverdale (Dayton) Community site, 8A to noon. We will start with worship and prayer, followed by breakfast, a quick training period, then we will go out into the adjacent neighborhoods to share the good news and pray for people. We are planning to have a TTR outreach on the 2nd Saturday of each month.
I hope to see you this weekend.
P.S. Open Heavens is NEXT Sunday night, December 11 at 7P. Open Heavens is a great opportunity for us to enjoy an extended time of worship. The atmosphere is faith-filled, with anticipation and expectation. Oftentimes there are prophetic words that are shared, and words of knowledge that ignite times of ministry. I hope you can join us!
