I am just getting back into the swing of things after being spending about a week in the mountains of Colorado with Marcie and some of our family. It’s always good to be away, and it’s always great to be home. I look forward to seeing you soon!
I wanted to let you know that I thought Caleb and the panel Gerald and Donna Cox, Lawrence Long, and Scott) did an amazing job of tackling a very difficult topic while I was away. The combined effect of the 2 police-involved shootings in Louisiana and Minnesota followed by the killing of 5 police officers in Dallas sent a shockwave through our country.
During difficult times I always ask myself, “What should my response be?” and, “How can I help keep hope alive?” I am reminded of the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10… Jesus told a story about a man who fell into the hands of robbers. He described who avoided him and who stopped to help him… He commended the one who stopped to show him mercy; a Samaritan. Jesus told his disciples to, “Go and do likewise.” It’s really easy for our hearts grow cold… I don’t ever want that to happen my heart.
Thank you for allowing us to tackle such a delicate topic. If you missed the panel discussion and would like to hear it, CLICK HERE.
