This coming weekend we will be continuing our new message series, “GENERATIONS: Living for Your Legacy.” I will be speaking on “Generational Wealth Transfer.” Wealth is far more than just dollars or property. It’s about our life-legacy that we pass on. It’s about passing on to our children and grandchildren that they can do great exploits to make a real difference in the world! As the scriptures say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9) I want my children and grandchildren to believe that, and to live into that!
Also, Isaiah 38:19 states, “Each generation tells of your faithfulness to the next.” That’s why we exist as a church, to pass our faith on to the next generation!
This weekend we will be honoring our graduates at each service. This will be a great opportunity for us to put our “generations” mindset into practice. To pray for them and bless this next phase in their life. If you know someone who attends our church who is graduating from high school or college, please have them register Here.
Our next Open Heavens night of worship is this Sunday night June 12 at 7 PM. Open Heavens is a great opportunity for us to gather around the presence of God in worship. The atmosphere is faith-filled, with anticipation and expectation. I hope you’ll join us!
Our Vineyard Kids Camp uReveal starts June 20! Camp uReveal provides an opportunity for our kids to grow in the realization that our Creator can be part of everything they do, design, think, and say. The children will have an opportunity to choose from one of five areas of study… Art, dance, writing, invention and athletics. To register your kids, or if you would like to help with Camp uReveal, CLICK HERE. For more info contact Joy Harvey at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our next Leadership Community gathering is Saturday morning, June 25 at 10 AM till noon. Bring a breakfast/brunch item to share. At these meetings we worship together, share testimonies, do some leadership training, pray for each other and share information. At this next meeting, Scott has a video on leadership he wants to share. All are welcome!
P.S. Monica Elam asked us to mention that our Women’s Ministry is having a cookout Wednesday, June 22 at 5:30 to 8:30 PM at Indian Riffle Park, Shelter 2. If your last name begins with A-M bring a side dish to share, R-Z-bring a dessert. Monica asks that you RSVP to her for planning purposes at email@example.com. (Sounds like fun to me!)
