I hope you had a great holiday weekend! It’s always nice once in awhile to have the opportunity for a three-day weekend, to hopefully relax a bit and enjoy some time with family and friends.
This coming weekend we will be continuing our new message series, “GENERATIONS: Living for Your Legacy.” Caleb will be speaking on creating a successive culture that empowers the next generation, to ensure that they feel powerful. Not “powerful” in the world’s sense of the word, but fully empowered to grow and to lead, to step out in faith and to believe God for great things. That’s what we want for the youth in our church and our city. That’s why we have started a Hope and Discovery Center at our Riverdale community site.
Next weekend we will be honoring our graduates at each service. This will be a great opportunity for us to put our “generations” mindset into practice. To pray for them and bless this next phase in their life. If you know someone who attends our church who is graduating from high school or college, please let them/us know. Our Barnabas Generation (50+) Famous Daytonians Historical Tour at Carillon Park is next Saturday, June 11, 11 AM to 3 PM. $32 per person. (Deadline to register was last Saturday, May 28.) For more info CLICK HERE.
Our next Open Heavens night of worship is next weekend, Sunday night June 12 at 7 PM. Open Heavens is a great opportunity for us to gather around the presence of God in worship. The atmosphere is faith-filled, with anticipation and expectation. I hope you’ll join us!
Our vKidz Camp uReveal is scheduled to start June 23. Camp uReveal provides an opportunity for our kids to grow in the realization that our Creator can be part of everything they do, design, think, and say. The children will have an opportunity to choose from one of five areas of study… Art, dance, writing, invention and athletics.
