I want you to know how much it means to me that you would take a few minutes each week to read my note. Hopefully you find it helpful and informative. You are always welcome to message me back with any questions or comments you may have. I especially love hearing your testimonies about how God is moving in your life.
Here is an encouraging comment I got from Dan Kelley on Facebook recently:
“I have been going for 20 years at the VC [Vineyard Church] and it always amazes me the love that the church body shows the Dayton Community. Kudos to Doug Roe, Scott Sliver, Steve Bowen and the entire staff for the outward focus for Dayton. I have visited other churches and hear comments of how the Vineyard shows God’s love and the outreach to not just Dayton but the entire Miami Valley. I am so grateful and proud to call the Vineyard my home.”
Dan, I can’t tell you how much your kind words have meant to me. I have so appreciated your (and Marsha’s) friendship, service and generosity over these many years. Kudos to you too! Doug
Last weekend we wrapped up our series Unshakable Faith by speaking on understanding and how to sharpen our five spiritual senses:
- Spiritual sight
“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened…” Ephesians 1:18
- Spiritual hearing
“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17
- Spiritual taste
“Taste and see that the Lord is good.” Psalm 34: 8
- Spiritual taste
“She touched the fringe of his robe, for she thought, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” Matthew 9:20-21
- Spiritual smell
“I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.” Philippians 4:18

This weekend I am kicking off our new message series, “GENERATIONS: Living for Your Legacy.” Proverbs 13:22 in the Message translation states, “A good life gets passed on to the grandchildren.” I am really looking forward to this new series. For our church to last over the long haul (a hundred years from now) we have to embrace the younger generations and empower them to fulfill God’s call on their lives.
Speaking of generations, we will be honoring our graduates the weekend of June 11 & 12 at each service. If you know someone who attends our church who is graduating from high school or college, please let them/us know. Message Angie Bailey at email@example.com.
Don’t forget to register for our Barnabas Generation (50+) Famous Daytonians Historical Tour at Carillon Park. Saturday, June 11, 11 AM to 3 PM. $32 per person, deadline to register is this Saturday, May 28. For more info and to register CLICK HERE.
Our vKidz Camp uReveal is scheduled to start June 23. The children will have an opportunity to choose from one of five areas of study… Art, dance, writing, invention and athletics.
