I am getting more and more excited about LOVE DAYTON, May 11-14, 2016!
What is Love Dayton?
A VISION to bring about lasting change to an entire city through a display of God’s power, kindness, and love healing many and leading multitudes to repentance and reconciliation.
A HOPE that a host of believers throughout the Dayton area will catch the vision, catalyzing an interdenominational movement to help facilitate the evangelistic crusades and community outreaches.
A CALL to action to the community, for the community. A call to love your neighbor as yourself. A call to all Christians who are willing to stand, shoulder to shoulder, with those who are looking to advance the Kingdom of God and exalt the name of Jesus.
We are hosting a special time of prayer for LOVE DAYTON at noon this coming Wednesday, April 20 in the Lodge. Feel free to join us as we gather to bathe this effort with prayer.
We will be helping to lead the charge for the outreach efforts all across the city… We need FIVE HUNDRED people willing to serve to effectively reach all the various neighborhoods. We will be providing you more information about LOVE DAYTON over the coming weeks. If you would like to go ahead and sign up to serve CLICK HERE.

As part of our ongoing efforts to love Dayton, I wanted to let you know that we will be receiving an offering to purchase books for children K-3 in Dayton Public Schools in the next week or two. This is a very practical way that we can show God’s love to the children of our city, and make a very real and lasting impact on their future. Our goal is to purchase 10 new books for each child at a school. (Last year we adopted Louise-Troy Elementary School off Germantown Pike.)
April 23-24 we will be performing baptisms at each service. If you have never been baptized before and you would like to get baptized, we have a baptism class where we answer questions regarding baptism. (For infants and younger children we do dedications, not baptisms.) We will be doing a dedication ceremony on Mother’s Day weekend, May 7-8. For more information about having your child dedicated, contact Joy Harvey at firstname.lastname@example.org. (Joy is our Children’s Pastor.)
Both baptism classes are this Sunday, April 17 during the 9 AM service. The kid’s class will be in the Family Life Center, studio L. The class for adults will be in the Lodge at the same time.
If you or your children would like to get baptized, CLICK HERE to sign up for the Baptism Class.
Now that we are a few weeks into our message series, Unshakable Faith, how is your faith level? Do you have a little faith, or great faith? Is your faith weak or strong? We will be taking a look at the life of Joseph from the books of Genesis 39 and 49 and Hebrews 11. Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers, then falsely accused of assaulting his employer’s wife and was thrown into prison. But somehow, through it all he kept his faith in tact and God used him to not only save his relatives, but all of Egypt from starvation!
One last item… We are hosting a Vineyard Church Campus Cleanup next Saturday, April 23 starting at 7:30 AM. (Coffee and doughnuts will be served!) If you would like to helps us spruce up our facilities by cleaning, landscaping or maintenance, please join us. Goes until noon. Bring your own tools, yard implements, gloves, etc. For more information contact Tommy Lauber at email@example.com. Let Tommy know you are planning to show up by clicking HERE.
