I am writing you today with a very joyful heart. Last weekend was such a great weekend! I am reminded of Psalm 122, “I rejoiced with those who said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’”
As a church family, we successfully facilitated six Community Easter Egg Hunts in addition to our three Easter services. The weather was great for our outreaches, and people came to church ready to worship and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ!
Here are just a few photos from Easter weekend…
Again, I want to extend a huge “Thank you!” to everyone involved. It’s because of your faithfulness, generosity and willingness to serve that allows us to do everything that we do. (I am still in awe of how many people attended our volunteer meeting last week then showed up to serve on Saturday.) We have so much to celebrate!
For those of you who have been around the Vineyard for a while, you might remember when used to do “WOW” services? The name had a double meaning… Wow meaning being in awe of the Lord, (but it also stood for “Wednesday Of Worship,” since we did those services whenever there was a 5th Wednesday in a month.) Since those days, we had started our DSSM (Dayton School of Supernatural Ministry) with extended times of worship, ministry and teaching. We have completed several sessions of DSSM over the past couple of years and we had some amazing times of worship and ministry along the way.
Having said that, Sunday night we are hosting a night of worship we are calling OPEN HEAVENS. The main focus will be simply drawing close to the Lord in worship and celebrating His goodness… with maybe a word of encouragement and some ministry along the way. We are hoping to take the best of our WOW services and all that we have learned from our DSSM sessions and wrap that into an OPEN HEAVENS night of worship. We hope you will join us! Worship starts at 7 PM this Sunday night, April 3.
Here are a couple of other upcoming events you might want to add to your calendar…
Next Friday (April 8) at 6 PM our Barnabas Generation (50+) is hosting a carry-in spaghetti Dinner and a Movie Night (War Room) in the Student Center of the Family Life Center.
Also, Aurora asked me to mention she is hosting a prayer and prophetic refresher for our Prayer & Encounter Ministry Team, Saturday, April 9, 9 AM to noon (also in the FLC Student Center.) This is a time for the entire Prayer & Encounter team to come together for renewed vision-casting and training on prayer and prophetic protocol.
And now, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)
