I hope you enjoyed our Night of Hope Christmas Eve services as much as I did. Lighting the candles and singing “Silent Night” is one of my favorite moments every year. The room was so full of love and hope and God’s presence. Every year hands are raised all across the room as people make a decision to follow Christ. It’s always a very intimate moment.
Last weekend I wrapped up our Simplify Christmas message series by talking about the importance of what we believe. The takeaway from the message is that I want you to believe you have a bright future! There is always hope. Romans 8:31 states, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” I believe there is always a solution to my problems.

This weekend’s message is going to help us REFUEL as we enter the new year! Taken from the New Testament book of Ephesians, chapter 3, it reads; “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” I know I need to be constantly refilled with all the fullness of God.
Our Christmas Store was a huge hit! Here are the final stats:
1,464 presents given
193 families received gifts (327 girls and 405 boys)
167 people served in the store
If you missed our Simplify Christmas offering the past couple of weekends or at our Christmas Eve services, I wanted to give you another opportunity to participate.
In addition to helping fund our Christmas Stores, our Simplify Christmas offerings will go toward developing our Center for Hope and Discovery at our Riverdale Community site. The idea is to create a safe learning environment with state-of-the-art technology to help kids meet educational benchmarks as well as discover their identity and meaning. It’s our desire to provide a better path toward their future.
If you would still like to give toward our Simplify Christmas offering, it’s not too late! You can give an offering by clicking HERE.
Honestly, I can’t thank you enough for your generosity. I’m so proud of our church family!
