If you haven’t had the opportunity to stop by our Christmas Store, it will be open tonight, Friday, December 18, 6:30 to 8:30 PM and tomorrow, Saturday, December 19, 11 AM to 2 PM.
A lot of people have been asking about whether we have enough gifts. We need every gift that comes in. There is no shortage of people in need. People are still calling and some will show up out of desperation, even though they don’t have a ticket. We want us to help as many people as possible. Additionally, I will announce at our Christmas Eve services if we have gifts left over, so that others in our church family can get a little extra help if they need it.
You can make a financial donation online or purchase gifts and drop them off at the church. To make a donation to our Christmas Store CLICK HERE
Honestly, I can’t thank you enough for your generosity, your faithfulness in tithing and your offerings to projects like this. Scripture teaches us that “God’s kindness leads to repentance.” Your expression of kindness and generosity makes all the difference in the world. Many people hugged me or shook my hand as they were leaving our store to thank me for making their Christmas a little easier. I humbly pass that on to you!
In addition to our Christmas Stores, we are going to receive an offering that will go toward developing our Center for Hope and Discovery at our Riverdale Community site. The idea is to create a safe learning environment with state-of-the-art technology to help kids meet educational benchmarks as well as discover their identity and meaning. It’s our desire to provide a better path toward their future. You will have the opportunity to give this coming weekend or Christmas Eve.

How many of you grew up reciting the Apostle’s Creed in church? I did. It is near and dear to my heart. There is something to be said for stating what we believe. Romans 10:9 states, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
What we believe is important. Not just what we believe, but how we apply it to our lives.
This weekend I am going to talk about four beliefs that will change our lives. I love this verse, “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:13 (NLT)
I also wanted to mention that Dustin had his procedure Monday and he is on the mend. He will still be out for several weeks, maybe a few months, but Scott will be stepping back into the worship leading role in his absence. Please keep Dustin in your prayers!
I look forward to seeing you this weekend!
