This weekend we will be continuing our Brave series by speaking about facing life with hope. I am more brave when I am hopeful. I notice that when I lack hope, I seem to lack courage too.
Jeremiah 29:11 states “I will give you a hope and a good future.”
If you have missed any of the messages the past few weeks, you can listen online. Our messages are posted here.
This Sunday night at 6 PM, our friend Ahab Alhindi from Bethel Church in Redding, California is going to be with us at our DSSM (This session is FREE and open to the public)! He and his wife Jessica are involved in regional transformation through Global Legacy. Ahab has also completed a Bachelor of Arts and Biblical Studies from Life Pacific College and is currently the Regional Catalyst for Southern California. Jessica has a background in social work and is passionate about seeing individuals live to their full potential and realize their dreams through experiencing the Father’s love and discovering their full identity. Ahab and Jessica travel throughout North America and globally to inspire, impart and activate today’s revivalists. They love to equip the body of Christ in healing, signs & wonders, evangelism, prophesy, inner healing, leadership and intimacy with the Father. One of their foremost desires is to see the body of Christ walking in wholeness, freedom and power. Their mission is to love and serve well, encourage and inspire, and to ignite faith and hope in believers worldwide. This is sure to be an amazing evening. I hope you can join us!
If you’ve been attending Vineyard Church for the past few years you know that each year we have a Family Fun Fest on campus. This year we’re going to mix it up a bit and invite everybody to reach out to your own neighborhood. It’s going to be fun! We want you to plan your own “Family Fun Fest” on the same night as your neighborhood Trick-or-Treat evening!
One of our core values is: Missional Living
“Making a difference every day by going into the community, sharing the Gospel message in relevant and practical ways, through love, service and power.”
We’re encouraging each person or family to consider making this opportunity a part of your missional living plan this fall.
Here are some simple and practical ways to reach out to your neighborhood:
Four steps to get involved:
1. Brainstorm and create a plan.
2. Share that plan and your location with us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
3. Plan on being outside.
4. Set-up in a safe and central location in your neighborhood.
Four ideas for families:
1. Create some buzz by passing out flyers.
2. Make it fun for the parents.
3. Create some fun games and give away prizes.
4. Build a fire and cook hot dogs and/or roast marshmallows.
Also, just a quick heads-up, our Barnabas Generation (50+) will be going to the LaComedia Dinner Theater in Springboro on Sunday, December 13, 2015 to see “A Christmas Story: The Musical.” This will be a great opportunity to connect with others from our church, enjoy dinner and a show! The cost is $45.00 per person. Payment deadline is November 10. Make checks payable to Dayton Vineyard and give them directly to Ron Bechtold or Jim Clayton. Reservations must be made in advance and paid in full by check, as mentioned above. For more information, email Ron at email@example.com.
(Can you believe there are only 61 shopping days left until Christmas!)
I look forward to seeing you this weekend.
