The parable of the Good Samaritan: See Luke 10:29-37 NIV
He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your
neighbor as yourself.’” “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.” (Luke 10:27-28 NIV)
Before I can love others well, I have to love myself.
“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. (Exodus 20:12 NIV)
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything
that belongs to your neighbor.” (Exodus 20:17 NIV)
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. (Romans 12:18 NIV)
So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God…(Romans 14:22 NIV)
“As yourself” means, I see myself as: Loved by God, worthy of love, forgiven, gifted, adopted, co-heir with Christ, sons and daughters, seated
in heavenly places with Christ Jesus.
Loving myself means: I take care of myself:
