Dear brothers and sisters, the longing of my heart and my prayer to God is for the people of Israel to be saved. (Romans 10:1 NLT)
For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.
(Romans 10:4 NLT)
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your
1. heart that you believe
[Greek pisteuō: believe; to put your faith in, to trust, to commit to]
and are justified, and it is with your
2. mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
(Romans 10:9-10 NIV)
Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:12-13 NLT)
But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!” But not everyone welcomes the Good News (Romans 10:14-16 NLT)
John 4 – The woman at the well encounters Jesus
Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony… (John 4:39 NIV)
Pray for an open door to share the hope that you have.
When I went to Troas to preach the good news about Christ, I found that the Lord had already prepared the way. (2 Corinthians 2:12 CEV)
Always be ready!
Honor Christ and let him be the Lord of your life. Always be ready to give an answer when someone asks you about your hope. Give a kind and respectful answer… (1 Peter 3:15-16 CEV)
To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. (1 Corinthians 9:22-23 NIV)
Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person. (Colossians 4:6 NASB)
Hope that is attractive includes words and deeds.
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, ‘You have faith; I have deeds.’Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. (James 2:17-18 NIV)
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 NIV)
That we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. (1 Timothy 2:2-6 NIV)
Make sure your words and deeds flow out of love.
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35 NIV)
