Loving People

Beginning...to love people

A major Vineyard priority is extending God’s Kingdom through outreach.

Our prayer for 2013:

Jesus, increase our love, connection and influence as we bring your presence,
provision and power to our community and beyond.

Outreach is in our DNA

Years ago Doug Roe and Scott Sliver came to Dayton to plant The Dayton Vineyard. As they worked full-time and started the church they decided to pool their money and begin to reach out to the people of Dayton. The projects ranged from passing out Cokes, cooking hotdogs on street corners, visiting the sick in hospitals, to taking bags of groceries to the poor of the city.

From small beginnings the church has grown into 'a pretty good church'. We continue to remain true to our roots as we go, serve, and reach out to the people in the Greater Miami Valley. Our mission is to equip the people of the Vineyard to practically  and effectively reach out to their friends, neighbors and their community by creating God Space where God-things can happen.

What is God Space? God space is a tangible space that we can create by faith. God space is an atmosphere, or an environment, or a personal connection where God’s presence, goodness, kindness, knowledge, and power are present to nurture faith in another human being.
