Happy and Blessed New Year!
We all were at many different stages in our Life Journal reading for 2018. Some finished strong, others found their way to the finish line, and still others are working towards the finish line. Congratulations to all. It was brave to even try.
It was quite the journey. I hope you enjoyed the reading and devotional time. I did. So, now that 2019 has begun and our journey has ended with the start of the New Year (2019) now what do you do for your devotional time?
I would like to suggest that you start over in the same journals and reread the entire Bible again. That’s what I am doing. Today, I just finished the account of Noah’s journey, how he found grace in God’s sight, and how God made and kept his covenant with him. Each day as I read I mark the page with a “19” showing that I am still on my journey of faith. Just about every year I read the entire Bible afresh for that year. I have been doing that since I was 20 years old. The Bible is anchor to my soul and a dear old friend in my life.
I am also reading a daily devotional book and other verses as the Holy Spirit touches my life. I still believe, “that we can have a worn out Bible or a worn out life.” And we get to choose which one it will be.
This will be my last Life Journal weekly note. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to speak into you life last year. I believe that God has His hands on our lives and 2019 is going to be a great year. May He richly bless you, May his face smile on you, and may he give you peace.
I love you,
