Welcome to my online blog for our Vineyard Life Journal!
This forum IS NOT for debate or to correct each other, but to share our insights and observations. (Actually, I will be keeping a pretty tight rein on the comments section, and I will have the ability to block trolls, spammers or those who just want to stir the pot.)
Before you comment or read what I have posted, read today’s passages for yourself and complete your own S.O.A.P. exercise… (If you read mine first, it may taint what you think.)

Here is my SOAP for today, Thursday, August 9, 2018
Jeremiah 3:19 “I myself [the Lord] said, ‘How gladly would I treat you like my children and give you a pleasant land, the most beautiful inheritance of any nation.’ I thought you would call me ‘Father’ and not turn away from following me. 20 But like a woman unfaithful to her husband, so you, Israel, have been unfaithful to me,” declares the Lord.”
Jeremiah 4:3 “This is what the Lord says to the people of Judah and to Jerusalem: “Break up your unplowed ground and do not sow among thorns. 4 Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, circumcise your hearts…”
John 11:16 “Then Thomas (also known as Didymus) said to the rest of the disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with him.”
43 “Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”
Interesting that Thomas said, “Let us also go, that we may die with him.” (Hmmm with who? Jesus or Lazarus?? Either way, Thomas, at that time, was ready to die.)
Classic! “Lazarus, come out!”
“But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”
Jesus can raise anything from the dead! A friend who had been dead FOUR DAYS, a dream, a marriage…
Lord, help me as I read another book from the prophets… Trying to stay fully engaged, but I’m struggling to read yet another book, having to sift through all the condemnation to find the promise and hope that I know is there.
