Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
(Psalm 103: 1-5 NIV)
Today is a good day. A good day to praise the Lord. To praise His name. To call upon Him for blessing, provision, and protection. What I have found in our lives is either we are praising and remembering all that He has done for us or we are forgetting all He has done and thus we have nothing to sing or shout out His praise.
What place are you this week? Forgetting or Remembering.
The best way to get back into the swing of things spiritually is to go back and remember all that he has done for us. That’s what the Psalmist did. Psalm 103 is about recounting all the good things that God had done for Israel.
- Forgives all my sins
- Heals all my diseases
- Redeems my life
- Fills me with love and compassion
- He gives me the good stuff
- Rescues me from my enemies
- Answers my prayers
