Have you ever had one of those weeks?
Some weeks everything goes great. Two steps forward, one little step back. Progress is happening! Other times, it’s two steps back or worse.
This week’s stand out verse is in 1 Chronicles 15:13 NLT:
“Because you Levites did not carry the Ark the first time, the anger of the Lord our God burst out against us. We failed to ask God how to move it properly.”
A while back, I wrote about how David inquired the Lord about the details of his life and his leadership. Now it seems that “he forgot”! Oops Ouch! While reading this chain of events that cost the life of a friend of his, I wonder why and how.
Why a cart? Do you know that religion causes people to do what was done before? When the Philistines sent the Arc back they used a cart. Maybe David just thought that’s how it was moved before. That’s how it is to be moved. He may have never read Moses’ instructions on how to care for and move the Arc.
My people perish from lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).
A goal for my life is to keep asking and forget less.
