Can you believe it’s December? I love this time of year. People’s hearts are more open to the message of the Gospel. A lot of people who don’t typically attend church will go to a Christmas Eve service. That’s why we do services on Christmas Eve…
One of Caleb’s action steps from his message last week was to commit to inviting at least one person to a Christmas Eve service. The evening services will have a candle-lighting ceremony for families to enjoy. It’s always a special moment. Our Sunday morning services (Christmas Eve morning) will offer Children’s Ministry (but no candles). The worship set will be similar for all the services, featuring a special song during the candle-lighting.

I’d also like to thank those of you who have already donated toward our store and signed up to serve. If you are planning to donate toward the store, please do it sooner, rather than waiting until the last minute. (It helps us stay ahead of the holiday rush.)
This weekend we are launching a brand new message series titled, Fear Not. Four times in advance of the birth of Christ, an angel appeared proclaiming, “Fear not!” (The angel appeared to Mary, Joseph, Zechariah, and the shepherds.) This series will help us grow in trusting the Lord and His plan for each of our lives.
Also this weekend, Sunday afternoon (Dec. 3rd) at 4P, we are hosting a concert featuring The University of Dayton Ebony Heritage Singers. They will be performing under the direction of our very own Rev. Dr. Donna Cox! This concert is FREE and open to the public. CLICK HERE for more information.
I’ve had a few people ask me if our Riverdale friends have been shuttling out to attend services in Beavercreek. I know many people have been attending and a handful are actually taking the shuttle. If you would like to help with driving, the shuttle leaves from our Riverdale Campus at 10:45A and leaves from our Beavercreek Campus at 1P returning at 1:15P. Let us know if you would like to help.
Lastly, I’m curious if you have been fasting yet… or if you are considering fasting at some point during this holiday season leading up to Christmas? If you have been fasting already, how is it going? What has your experience been like? What has the Lord shown you? Any insights you have gained? Please let me know how it’s going, OK?
I hope to see you this weekend! We will be taking Communion together during worship at each service.
P.S. Food for Fairborn is tomorrow morning at 10A. Meet at our pantry.
